(Hong
Kong, 11 October 2022) ? China Risun Group Limited (“China Risun”, or the “Group”, stock code: 1907), a leading global integrated
coke, coking chemicals and refined chemicals producer and supplier and relevant
operation management services provider in China, announced that the No.3 and
No.4 coke ovens at its Huhhot Production Base Phase II have begun operation.
The ovens, a coking chemical and hydrogen production comprehensive utilization
project, with an annual output capacity of three million tons of coke, attained
one-go production smoothly, giving a solid foundation for the Group to speed up
building and commissioning the No. 5 and No. 6 coke ovens. To date, phase one,
with annual coke capacity of 1.5 million tons, of the Huhhot Production Base
Phase II Project is in operation and has moved into the stage of meeting output
target and bolstering efficiency.
[On the back of] the coal chemical and
its related downstream refined chemical industry, with coking chemical and hydrogen production comprehensive utilization
project of annual output reaching three million tons, the Huhhot Production
Base Phase II project will focus on developing large-scale modern coal chemical
projects in relation to such as new energy, new materials, and excess heat and
pressure recycling. It can produce three million tons of coke, 120,000 tons of
tar and 40,000 tons of crude benzene a year. The project is equipped with the
largest coke dry quenching in China with quenching capacity reached 2×260t/h, and
simultaneously establishes 2×35MW power generation devices with electricity
generation reached 500 million kWh a year. Meanwhile, the project also uses
hydrogen that generating from coke oven gas to produce 300,000 tons of
synthetic ammonia annually.
The project has been on the key project
list for three consecutive years in the work report of the Hohhot Municipal
People's Government. It is a major project in the modern industrial cluster
being built in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Hohhot City. Its
downstream refined chemical project has also been named among key economic
cooperation projects of the Autonomous Region in 2022.
The Phase II project boasts a complete
industrial chain enabling it to produce more than 40 products and realize
connection of pipelines of the different coking and chemical devices and
upstream and downstream industrial chains, making it an industry-leading
circular economy and city-friendly demonstration project. It also has outstanding
advantages in terms of new energy, new materials, hydrogen energy guarantee,
industrial integration and delicacy management.
At the same time,
the Group is actively promoting refined chemical projects downstream in its bid
to seize opportunities from Inner Mongolia developing into an important energy
and strategic resource base in the country. It aspires to become an intelligent
industrial base for the circular economy with coal chemicals, new energy and
new materials as constituents and a benchmark industrial park in Inner Mongolia
as well as the country.
