(Hong Kong, 7 March 2023) ? China Risun Group Limited (“China Risun”, or
the “Group”, stock code: 1907), a leading global integrated coke, coking
chemicals and refined chemicals producer and supplier and relevant operation
management services provider in China, announced today that the 100kg-test coke
oven* at its Sulawesi Production Base in Indonesia has begun operation as
scheduled on 4 March 2023. The oven, which is part of the Risun Wei Shan coking
chemical project with annual output capacity of 4.8 million tonnes, started
production on the day after operating well-coordinated with quality, safety and
progress meticulously controlled by participating personnel.
The Risun Wei
Shan project under construction adopts the model of first operating the test
coke oven, then the large coke oven, another example of the Group putting into
actual practice the concept of R&D-first, followed by research and
production integration. The approach helps lay the foundation for the project
to raise coke quality and reduce coal blending costs, while serving as model for
the coking industry of Indonesia to learn from in raising standard.
The 100kg-test coke
oven employs more advanced technologies and boasts higher degree of automation,
and the test data are closer to those of large coke ovens. The completion and
commissioning of the 100kg-test coke oven apparatus can not only fully fulfill
the coal blending experimental needs of Risun Wei Shan project, but also
provide direct technical support for other related coking enterprises. It
simulates the single-hole carbonization chamber of an industrial coke oven, uses
[side-filling sample oven] and [single-side circular dual fire lanes] plus dual
temperature measurement mode to achieve a uniform temperature field, high precision
temperature control and coking results that correlate well with coke producing
oven]. It also affords coke strength index of high intuitiveness and test results
of high repeatability. It is another important R&D apparatus for coal
blending innovation at the Group’s Sulawesi Production Base in Indonesia and
also the first test coke oven of that scale in Indonesia.
In the future,
the Group's production base in Sulawesi, Indonesia will focus on construction
of the Risun Wei Shan project, to ensure it will be completed and in operation
as planned within the year, and quickly meet production and efficiency targets.
At the same time, with two test coke ovens operating, it can accumulate
overseas coal research data and results to help build the Risun Wei Shan
project into a world-class project and see the Group’s coking chemical
production bases and coal blending and coking standard climb to matching
international standards.
*For test only.
The project will be equipped with large coke oven afterwards.
